RepliKey is operated by REPLIKEY PTY LTD (ACN 699 049 726 · ABN 93 699 049 726) ("we", "us", "our"). We respect your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, how we handle it, and your rights.

What we collect

  • Order & contact information: your name, email address, shipping address, and phone number (if provided).
  • Payment information: processed securely by our payment providers (e.g. Shopify Payments, PayPal, Afterpay). We do not receive or store your full card details.
  • Your reference photos: the car photos you upload (or send us via Instagram/DM) so we can create your custom RepliKey.
  • Usage data: basic technical data needed to run the store securely (such as device and browser type), handled by our store platform. We don't currently run our own website analytics — see "Cookies" below.

How we use your reference photos

Your photos are only ever used to create your custom RepliKey. Specifically:

  • We upload your reference photos to a third-party AI rendering service to generate the animated render of your car that appears on your device.
  • On our systems, we keep your reference photos only for as long as we need them to create your render. Once your render is made, we delete the original photos from our systems.
  • Third-party handling: our rendering provider processes your uploaded photos under its own privacy policy and terms. Importantly, that provider may retain uploaded images on its systems for a period under its own retention rules, and may use uploaded content to operate and improve its services, including to train its AI models. We don't control the provider's independent use or retention of images. You can contact us at support@replikey.com for information about our current rendering provider and its privacy practices. By placing an order and providing photos, you acknowledge this third-party processing.
  • We will never use your reference photos for our own marketing, promotion, or any purpose beyond producing your order without your prior written consent.
  • We do not sell your photos or personal information to anyone.

How we use your other information

  • To process, produce, and ship your order;
  • To provide customer support and respond to your messages;
  • To send you transactional emails only (such as order confirmations and shipping updates). We do not currently send marketing or promotional emails.
  • To prevent fraud and keep our store secure;
  • To meet our legal and tax obligations.

Reviews & testimonials

If you choose to leave a review or send us feedback, we may display it publicly (for example on our website or social media). This may include your first name and last initial, your car's make and model, your country, and the review content and rating you provide. Please only include details you're comfortable being shown publicly. This applies only to content you give us as a review — not to your private reference photos, which we never publish without your prior written consent.

Who we share your information with

We share information only with the service providers who help us run RepliKey, and only what they need:

  • Shopify — our store and checkout platform;
  • Payment providers — to process your payment;
  • Shipping carriers — to deliver your order;
  • A third-party AI rendering service — to generate the animated render of your car from your reference photos (see above).

These providers are bound by their own privacy and security obligations. We don't sell or rent your personal information to third parties.

International data transfers

Some of our service providers (including our payment, hosting, and rendering providers) may store or process your information outside Australia, including in countries whose data-protection laws may differ from your own. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information remains protected.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies — the cookies our store platform needs to run core functions like your shopping cart, secure checkout, and basic security. These are required for the store to work.

We do not currently use any analytics, advertising pixels, or session-recording tools. If we add them in future (for example website analytics or advertising pixels), we'll update this policy to name them, and — where required for visitors in regions such as the UK and EU — we'll show a cookie-consent banner so you can accept or decline non-essential cookies before they load.

You can also control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling essential cookies may stop parts of the store working.

How we protect your information

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data and limit access to it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you;
  • Ask us to correct or update it;
  • Ask us to delete it;
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.

To make a request, email support@replikey.com. We'll respond within a reasonable time and in line with applicable law.

Where you ask us to delete your information, we'll delete the personal information we hold on our own systems and pass your request on to our service providers. Please note that our third-party providers (including our rendering provider) operate their own systems and retention rules, so while we'll forward your request, we can't guarantee how or when a provider removes data held on its side — that's governed by the provider's own policy. Some information may also be retained where we're legally required or permitted to keep it (for example for tax, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes). 

Children

RepliKey is not intended for children under 18. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will change when we do.
